Keratoconus Vision

People with Keratoconus can suffer with the same type of blurred vision that people with shortsightedness or regular astigmatism suffer. Hence in its early stages, KC can be misdiagnosed as astigmatism or shortsightedness. In addition to blurring, Keratoconics suffer with ghosting (double images), halos and flares at night, along with increased light sensitivity and a general distortion of vision rather than just a blurring. The level of distortions and complexity of vision problems depends on the severity of progression. Below are examples of typical Keratoconus vision problems:
